The Toronto Raptors and Los Angeles Clippers are both interested in Brooklyn Nets forward Thaddeus Young, according to the New York Daily News' Frank Isola.
Young is having a strong season for the 14-40 Nets, hitting career highs in rebounding (9.1) per game while averaging 15.1 points on 51.3 percent shooting. It makes sense that the Raptors and Clippers are interested in the nine-year veteran, as they could both use depth in the frontcourt.
The 6-foot-8 Young can play both forward spots, although he's shooting only 21.7 percent from deep this season. However, he's taking 0.4 3-point attempts per game in 2015-16, which is 1.4 fewer than last year.
The Raptors likely won't toy with their chemistry too much ahead of the trade deadline, although a positional upgrade at power forward could come at the right price. The Clippers shipped out Josh Smith in January, and remain without the injured Blake Griffin.
Young is owed approximately $25 million over the next two seasons, with a player option for 2018-19.
