Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker will return to action for Friday night's matchup against the Miami Heat, the team announced.
Walker missed Wednesday night's contest due to a knee injury.
Although he wasn't named to the All-Star team, Walker was a strong candidate to earn a spot among the East reserves, averaging career highs in points (20.2), rebounds (4.3), 3-point percentage (.361) and free-throw percentage (.860).
Head coach Steve Clifford said Walker will not be limited against Miami, so backup Jeremy Lin should return to the bench.
The Hornets (24-25) are in the midst of a two-game winning streak and sit just two games back of a playoff spot.
