Beal (nose) passed through the league's concussion protocol and is expected to play Thursday night against the Nuggets.

Analysis:

Beal took a shot to the nose in Monday's loss to the Celtics that resulted in a broken nose and a concussion, and the two injuries prevented him from playing in Tuesday's loss to the Raptors. The good news is he's no longer dealing with concussion symptoms, and Beal said he plans to play Thursday while wearing a protective mask, which he'll likely have to don for the next four-to-six weeks to avoid further damage to his nose, according to J. Michael of CSN Mid-Atlantic. Beal still has to pass a couple final tests before getting full clearance to suit up, but those are believed to be only formalities. Expect the guard to come off the bench and see a minute load in the low-to-mid-20s, as the team continues to monitor Beal's court time after he recently returned from a stress reaction in his right leg.
