Sacramento Kings point guard Rajon Rondo won't be penalized for apparently kicking Deron Williams of the Dallas Mavericks, according to USA Today Sports' Sam Amick.

The play in question occurred near the end of the first extra period in Tuesday's double-overtime thriller, as Rondo - who was sitting out due to back spasms - appeared to use his foot to try swiping at Williams' heel as he pump-faked near the sideline.

A second camera angle of the event subsequently emerged, however, and effectively exonerated the 10-year vet from any alleged misconduct.

Perhaps this innocuous maneuver is a sideline ritual for the Kentucky alumnus, as he was caught on camera performing a similar sweeping motion during last year's playoffs.

Nevertheless, faced with no punishment, the enigmatic guard is eligible to play against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.
