Memphis Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley will not play versus the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night, the team announced.
An Achilles injury will force the 28-year-old to miss his first game of the year. He hasn't played a full 82-game season since 2008-09.
The Ohio State alumnus is averaging 15.1 points, 5.8 assists, and 1.3 steals, and is the Grizzlies' all-time leader in games played, assists, and steals.
The ninth-year player is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, and will likely be one of the hottest commodities on the market.
The Grizzlies (19-17) sit sixth in the Western Conference.
