Jrue Holiday: No more restrictions on back-to-backs
Coach Alvin Gentry confirmed over the weekend that Holiday would no longer be subjected to sitting out one half of back-to-back sets, John Reid of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Analysis:
Holiday rested during Saturday's loss to the Bulls, but it appears that game will mark the final time he sits for maintenance-related reasons, as the Pelicans' training staff now apparently feels comfortable with where the point guard is at on the health front following his offseason surgery to remove a rod from his lower right leg. The Pelicans could still limit Holiday's playing time a bit moving forward, but after he logged a season-high 29 minutes in Monday's loss to the Trail Blazers, even those restrictions might be lifted soon. The buy-low window could close quickly on Holiday, as he's only likely to see his value rise considerably in the weeks to come.
