Celtics' Bradley confident ahead of matchup with undefeated Warriors

Boston Celtics guard Avery Bradley isn't afraid of the undefeated Golden State Warriors ahead of Friday's meeting.

Bradley is confident the Celtics' offense will stack up against the Warriors' historically dominant attack:

Bradley's teammate Jae Crowder echoed something similar, saying the Celtics won't get caught up in the moment of facing a 23-0 juggernaut, they'll be focused on protecting their mini two-game win streak.

Bravado is commendable, and the Celtics certainly have a wealth of perimeter defenders to fling at the Warriors, but it goes without saying that stopping the reigning champions will be their toughest challenge of the season.

The Warriors are outscoring opponents by 16.3 points per 100 possessions - a historic mark. They also have the NBA's best offense (by a mile) and the fifth-ranked defense. The Celtics - ranked third - actually have the Warriors beat on defense, but their best defender,Marcus Smart, will miss Friday's game due to an injured leg.

As for the Celtics' offense, their 15th-ranked attack hardly stacks up.

But the Warriors aren't entirely unbeatable. They've escaped close calls with the Toronto Raptors (twice), Los Angeles Clippers, and Brooklyn Nets. If Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes both sit out, the Celtics could have a golden opportunity at snapping the Warriors' streak.

Bradley and the Celtics also managed to play the Warriors relatively close in their only two match-ups last season. Boston dropped both contests by a combined eight points.

But by no means will that be easy. Just ask Celtics head coach Brad Stevens.
