Hawks' Splitter will not play vs. Grizzlies on Friday; Bazemore questionable
Center Tiago Splitter will miss his third straight game on Friday night when the Atlanta Hawks visit the surging Memphis Grizzlies.
Splitter, 30, remains on the sidelines after injuring his right hip in a loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Nov. 21.
The injury bug has followed the 6-foot-11 Brazilian for a majority of his career, with Splitter missing 20 or more games four of the past five seasons.
He's currently averaging 5.6 points and 3.6 rebounds in 14 appearances after being acquired by the franchise in an offseason trade.
Swingman Kent Bazemore's status has been upgraded to questionable after he suffered a right ankle sprain during the final moments of Atlanta's loss to the Utah Jazz on Nov. 15.
The Hawks, who have lost five of their last seven games, will face a Grizzlies squad that's dropped just one outing since Nov. 13.
