Mychal Thompson wasn't shy when asked about his Showtime Lakers' chances against son Klay's Golden State Warriors.
"I think in a seven-game series, Showtime vs. New Time, I'm going with Showtime," the senior Thompson said on ESPNLA 710, according to Diamond Leung of Bay Area News Group.
However, Mychal didn't beat up on his son's squad too much, saying, "If the Warriors don't get bored, big-headed, entitled, they can win four to five championship in the next eight to nine years."
The Warriors will try to become the first team in NBA history to start 16-0 this evening against the 2-11 Lakers, who'll attempt to play spoiler against the defending champs.
