Rose said Wednesday that his ankle hasn't swelled up, meaning if he doesn't play Wednesday he would appear to have a good chance to take the court Friday. It's expected that Rose will sit out Wednesday after he wasn't able to participate fully in shootaround early in the morning, but a couple days of rest may prove to be adequate time for him to recover in advance of Friday's game. In the event Rose is held out through the weekend, he would be a near-certain bet to play Tuesday in Portland.
