VIDEO: Westbrook, Smart trade filthy rejections
Mark D. Smith-USA TODAY Sports
It was a block party Sunday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Boston Celtics, with guards Russell Westbrook and Marcus Smart getting up for a pair of highlight-reel swats.
Westbrook earned more bragging rights with his rejection, though, as he pinned Smart's layup attempt off the backboard in spectacular fashion.
Smart answered with an amazing rejection of his own after chasing down Thunder guard D.J. Augustin.
Westbrook may have won the battle of the blocks, but it was Smart and his career-high 26 points that won the war, notching a 100-85 road win.
