MIAMI - A police report released Wednesday shows that Miami Heat guard Gerald Green had bloody hands, punched another man in the eye and needed to be handcuffed before being transported to a hospital last week.
The report sheds some light on the circumstances surrounding Green's absence from the Heat and subsequent two-game suspension by the team. Green will serve the final game of that suspension Thursday and is expected back on the practice floor this weekend.
The man Green punched did not want to press charges, according to the Miami police report.
Green is averaging 10.3 points in three games with the Heat this season.
