Holiday (lower right leg) isn't expected to play Wednesday against the Hawks, KL Chouinard of Hawks.com reports.
Analysis:
Though the Pelicans are officially listing Holiday with an injury, it's believed that any absence Wednesday would be due to rest-related reasons. Per coach Alvin Gentry's comments in training camp, Holiday is expected to be held out of one game of back-to-back sets through January, so despite the fact that he played just 15 minutes in Tuesday's win over Dallas, it looks like he's on track to sit Wednesday. Assuming Holiday is indeed held out, New Orleans will likely go with Ish Smith as its starting point guard.
