Tim Duncan broke the NBA record for most wins by a single player with one team with his 954th victory as a San Antonio Spur on Monday night.

The Spurs defeated the New York Knicks 94-84 at Madison Square Garden for their third win of the 2015-16 season.

Reaching milestones and setting records is what "The Big Fundamental" does best these days. Duncan, 39, scored the 26,000th point of his career Sunday afternoon in a win over the Boston Celtics. The win also made Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili the winningest trio in NBA history.

With his 954th win in a Spurs uniform, Duncan breaks the tie he had with legendary Utah Jazz point guard John Stockton.

Playing in his 19th season with the franchise, Duncan has five NBA championships, three NBA Finals MVP awards, two regular-season MVPs, a Rookie of the Year (1998), made 15 All-Star teams, and earned 10 spots on the All-NBA First Team.

Since entering the league as the No. 1 overall pick out of Wake Forest University, no Spurs team has won fewer than 50 games (excluding lockout year in 1998-99) in a season.
