It feels a little early in the NBA season to be tossing the term "classic" around, but that's close to what happened between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Orlando Magic in Central Florida on Friday night.

A defensive gem it wasn't, but the Thunder stuck out a 139-136 double-overtime victory on the backs of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant, who scored 48 and 43 points, respectively.

Both players registered double-doubles, while the Magic's Victor Oladipo posted his second career triple-double with 21 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Dominated through three quarters, the Thunder mounted a comeback from an 18-point hole, culminating in Durant's 3-pointer to tie it with 15 seconds left. Then Oladipo and Westbrook hit big shots to force overtime. Oladipo also sent the game to a second OT with a buzzer-beating trey.

How unique and special is the Westbrook-Durant pairing?

Here's Durant's 43-point outing.

And here's Westbrook's ridiculous night.
