Garnett serves rookie Portis helping of veteran trash talk
Kevin Garnett literally has no chill.
The 39-year-old Garnett trash-talked 20-year-old rookie Bobby Portis when his Minnesota Timberwolves took on Portis' Chicago Bulls in preseason action Saturday. And as Portis explained, Garnett's words were far too foul to repeat.
Bobby Portis is fully initiated into the NBA: Kevin Garnett was verbally giving him the business over the weekend. "Words I can't repeat."

Portis, however, noted that Garnett holstered the infamous line he supposedly uttered against Carmelo Anthony. Rather, Garnett's wrath against him centered on the age gap between them.
Portis on KG: "He didn't say nothing about no Honey Nut Cheerios. He (said), "Grown man business right here, boy. I'm 40 and you're 20."

A few harsh words didn't deter the Bulls' first-round pick as he put up 12 points, eight rebounds, and three assists to Garnett's two points and four rebounds. The Bulls also came away with the nine-point victory.
Two nights later, Portis posted a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds against the New Orleans Pelicans. The promising young Bull is averaging 12.5 points and 12.2 rebounds in preseason action.
