Spurs' Tony Parker will play in Game 3

Justin Ford-USA TODAY Sports

Tony Parker's troublesome right Achilles will not keep him out of Game 3 against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The former Finals MVP will be in the Spurs' lineup when the even first-round series shifts to San Antonio on Friday, despite the Achilles tightness that forced him from Wednesday's Game 2 victory, as well as a game earlier in April.

Parker and the Spurs may not be out of the woods yet, however. CBS Sports' Ken Berger reported Thursday that while Parker was expected to play in Game 3, the organization has legitimate concern about how effective he can be throughout the remainder of the series.

Parker, who also tweaked his left ankle and thigh in Sunday's Game 1 loss, finished Game 2 with a single point and five assists on 0-for-6 shooting in 30 minutes of action.

The six-time All-Star has managed only 11 points and six assists on 4-of-17 shooting through the series' first two games.

Spurs big man Aron Baynes, meanwhile, is listed as doubtful for Game 3 with a sprained ankle.

Baynes, who was on the receiving end of three thunderous Blake Griffin posters in the third quarter of Game 1, did not suit up for Game 2.
