The Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets don't exactly like each other.
It's perhaps with that in mind that every shot attempt from either team seems to be getting met with a little extra lift from shot-blockers on the other end, with the two teams combining for eight first-half blocks.
Several were emphatic, like these back-to-back blocks from Clint Capela and Josh Smith on Al-Farouq Aminu:
Dwight Howard couldn't exactly sit by and let Capela and Smith think they're the flashiest shot-blockers on the team, and so early in the second, he completely erased a Tyson Chandler layup attempt.
Not to be left out, the Mavericks responded by stopping the Rockets' fast-break courtesy of a vicious Aminu swat on Corey Brewer.
Howard's block may have been a bit of revenge on Chandler for this earlier shove that led to a Chandler technical foul:
Chandler has a block of his own, as do Monta Ellis, Aminu and Smith, while Howard and Capela have two each. It's little surprise the team's shot a combined 40.2 percent in the half.
