Bulls' Gibson says knee is fine; Hinrich's status still unknown

Chicago Bulls power forward Taj Gibson left and returned to Saturday's Game 1 against the Milwaukee Bucks with a right knee strain, but said Sunday that he's fine.

The Bulls won the opener 103-91, with Gibson finishing the luckiest basket of the night. He had eight points and 11 rebounds in 25 minutes. He gave props Sunday to those who ply their trade on the gridiron and also play through soreness.

"I give a lot of respect to football players," Gibson told reporters. "When you go a hundred miles an hour in the playoffs, things happen.  But I feel fine."

Meanwhile, injured guard Kirk Hinrich's status for Game 2 remains up in the air. He didn't play in Game 1 due to a hyperextended left knee. Coach Tom Thibodeau said Sunday the 34-year-old veteran's condition is improving, but couldn't make a prediction for Monday.
