Spurs' Parker leaves game with tight Achilles
Jesse Johnson-USA TODAY Sports
Things have been going very well for the San Antonio Spurs of late, and they'll clearly be hoping Tuesday's development with guard Tony Parker is just a minor nuisance.
Parker left the contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder with tightness in his right Achilles. He did not return to San Antonio's 113-88 victory. Cory Joseph started the second half in Parker's place.
While the Spurs have won 10 of their last 11, Parker has seen his minutes drop in his last three games. It's been a trying season for the 32-year-old veteran, missing 14 games mostly due to a hamstring injury.
His 14.5 points and five assists per game are the lowest since his rookie year in 2001-02.
