Jameer Nelson suffers hip flexor strain, leaves game

The Denver Nuggets would probably like nothing more than for this season to just end. Backup point guard Jameer Nelson - who got the start Saturday with Ty Lawson nursing a sore arm - left the game against the Los Angeles Clippers and did not return.
Nelson suffered a right hip flexor strain. The 33-year-old veteran is averaging 9.8 points in 34 games with the Nuggets this season.
