Brooklyn heckler claims James' complaint had him moved

The Brooklyn Nets did something unexpected Friday night: beat LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. And as one prominent Nets fan put it, he may have had something to do with getting inside James' head.

Bruce Reznick is a 79-year-old lawyer from the Brooklyn neighborhood of Canarsie who, as a Nets season ticket holder for 18 years, is known for attempting to distract opposing players during free throws with corny heckles.

After Friday's game, Reznick - known as "Mr. Whammy" - told the New York Daily News that arena security asked him to move from his usual spot behind the basket stanchion back to his seat after he heckled James during a first quarter visit to the charity stripe.

“(Security) said, 'Do me a favor, please move back so that NBA security doesn't throw you out,'" Reznick said. "LeBron is a crybaby. I know it was him that asked the security to make me move. He doesn't like that I make him miss. He thinks he's more powerful than anyone in the NBA."

For the record, James was six-of-eight from the line and finished with 24 points in the 106-98 loss. However, the Daily News reports that the Cavaliers did in fact complain about Reznick's presence by the net.

After the game, James was questioned by media about whether he had in fact instructed security to move the soon-to-be-octogenarian superfan.

Staring blankly, James replied, "next question."
