VIDEO: Pelicans-Rockets game nearly extended by two missed calls

The Houston Rockets escaped New Orleans with a thrilling 95-93 victory over the Pelicans on Wednesday, but they were nearly done in by a couple of glaring officiating errors in the game's final seconds.

First, in a scramble following an intentionally missed free throw by Eric Gordon, Pelicans forward Dante Cunningham saved New Orleans' possession after clearly stepping out of bounds with both feet and not stepping back in.

Then, the clock froze at 0.3 - perhaps the timekeeper believed Cunningham would be called out - allowing Tyreke Evans to catch and shoot the potential game-tying jumper.

Video replay would have likely corrected at least one of the mistakes had Evans tied the game at the buzzer, but those are two pretty egregious mishaps to go unnoticed by three refs.
