The Orlando Magic won't be able to get a closer look at one of their rookies down the stretch run.

Second-round pick Devyn Marble will miss the next four-to-six weeks due to a detached retina in his left eye, which sounds incredibly uncomfortable. It's not clear when the injury occurred, as Marble has not seen game action since last being recalled from the D-League on Feb. 21.

The 6-foot-6 wing out of Iowa has seen little action this season despite the Magic having every incentive to see what they have with their young players. In 16 games, he's averaged 2.3 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 13 minutes, but has struggled to a 31.8-percent mark from the floor and gone 4-of-22 from outside.

Marble averaged 13 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists in six games in the D-League, but struggled with his shot there too.

The four-year senior was expected to provide a back-of-the-rotation boost at both ends of the floor after an encouraging Summer League stint, but he could be forced to play his way onto the team in 2015-16, when his full salary is non-guaranteed.
