Like the Hassan Whiteside renaissance and the upcoming Michael Beasley revival, the Henry Walker re-emergence is going to continue with the Miami Heat.

The Heat signed Walker to a second 10-day contract Tuesday. Walker first signed on Feb. 21

The way the Heat are pulling players off the scrap heap and trying to turn them into useful pieces is quite entertaining, if not entirely sustainable. Once thought to be a lottery pick out of Kansas State, Walker - then known as Bill Walker - slid to the second round due to recurring knee injuries, ultimately playing four decent but mostly unimpressive seasons before landing in Venezuela, the Philippines and the D-League.

Upon joining the Heat, Walker almost immediately made a claim for more playing time, hitting a pair of clutch threes in a victory - a moment he said was something you dream about.

In four games, Walker is averaging 11.8 points and three rebounds, shooting 34 percent from the floor and 31.4 percent on threes. The Heat need bodies right now, especially at the forward positions, and Walker's play warrants a longer look.
