The Golden State Warriors only had one Splash Brother on hand to take on the Indiana Pacers on Sunday.

Point guard Stephen Curry is dealing with a sore right foot and sat out the game. The injury was originally reported to be a sore right ankle, which would have been much more troubling given Curry's history of ankle injuries, but the team is officially calling it a foot injury.

Curry tweaked the foot battling for a rebound during the Warriors win over the San Antonio Spurs on Friday. He managed to play almost 32 minutes, scoring a game-high 25 points on 8-of-17 shooting.

"I'll be fine," Curry said after the Warriors lost without him Sunday.

Ankle injuries were a concern for Curry early in his career, but Sunday will mark Curry's first foot- or ankle-related absence since Nov. 8, 2013, notes Marcus Thompson of the Bay Area News Group. Prior to that point, ankle injuries had cost Curry a pair of games in 2009-10, a handful more in 2010-11 and most of his 2011-12 season.

Despite the reputation of being somewhat fragile, Curry has missed more than eight games in a season just once in his six-year career and missed just a single game in his three-year college career.

The sweet-shooting Davidson product has emerged as a leading candidate for MVP in leading the Warriors to the league's best record. Curry is averaging 23.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 7.9 assists and a league-leading 2.2 steals per game.

Back up point guard Shaun Livingston filled in for Curry in the starting lineup.
