A tough season for the Brooklyn Nets appeared to get worse Tuesday night when point guard Jarrett Jack left the game against the Memphis Grizzlies with what initially looked a hamstring injury.

It turns out he was inadvertently kicked in the back of the leg late in the third quarter. He did not return to the game, a 95-86 Brooklyn loss, but it appeared to be mostly precautionary.

Jack has been a workhorse at point guard for the Nets with the combination of benching and injury to Deron Williams, playing more than 36 minutes a game since the calendar flipped to 2015. In that time, he's averaged 16.1 points and 6.9 assists per game.
