Suns' Thomas recently had fluid drained from surgically-repaired hand

Isaiah Thomas is enjoying a career year shooting the ball, connecting on nearly 41 percent of three-point attempts while boasting an Effective Field Goal Percentage of 52.2 and a True Shooting Percentage of 59.6.

The undersized Phoenix Suns guard has been particularly hot as of late, knocking down 15 of 29 3-point attempts over his last four games.

That's the good news. The bad news? Thomas said he recently had some fluid drained from his surgically-repaired left hand.

"It affected my shot when I released. It feels better. I got it done last week when we got home," Thomas told The Arizona Republic's Paul Coro.

Exacerbating the bad news is that Thomas admitted the fluid build up is a recurring problem after undergoing offseason wrist surgery on his shooting hand.

"They said it might come back because it's come back two or three times since. That was the third time they've done it this year. They did something different and it's helped," Thomas said.

The 25-year-old was acquired from the Sacramento Kings via sign-and-trade last summer after agreeing to a four-year, $27 million contract with the Suns.
