The Toronto Raptors are being careful with their All-Star shooting guard. DeMar DeRozan will not play Monday against the Detroit Pistons, although the team hopes he will play this week, according to TSN's Josh Lewenberg.

DeRozan hasn't suited up since Nov. 28 with a torn tendon in his groin. Chatter for more than a week has indicated he's about to return to Toronto's lineup, but the Raptors say they have no specific timetable yet.

The Raptors host the third-worst team in the NBA, the Philadelphia 76ers, on Wednesday, and then the best team in the Eastern Conference, the Atlanta Hawks, on Friday.
