J.R. Smith will get a fresh start Wednesday night with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The swingman is available and will likely play when the Cavs host the Houston Rockets.
Iman Shumpert, also acquired by Cleveland from the New York Knicks, remains on the shelf with a shoulder injury that's expected to keep him out another two weeks.
In addition to Smith and Shumpert, the Cavaliers reportedly added center Timofey Mozgov on Wednesday.
Smith has regressed since winning the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year award in 2012-13. He averaged 10.9 points in 25.8 minutes per game with the Knicks this season.
