The Miami Heat finally got Chris Bosh back from a strained left calf that kept him out of eight straight games, but it wasn't quite enough to propel them past a young and hungry Orlando Magic team.
Both Bosh and Dwyane Wade were in fine form, and the Heat got a big boost off the bench from Danny Granger, who went an incredible 6-for-7 from 3-point range on his way to 21 points. Bosh chipped in 20 points on 8-of-17 shooting and snagged eight rebounds, but he scored just one point in the hotly-contested fourth quarter.
Wade, meanwhile, was quiet for the first three quarters but went off in the fourth, scoring 15 of his team-high 25 points. He and the Magic's Victor Oladipo (22 points) and Nikola Vucevic (a game-high 26) went back and forth trading buckets, as the lead changed hands 11 times in the final frame.
Oladipo made the tying layup with 43 seconds remaining, then, after a Wade miss, got fouled in the act. He split the pair of free throws, giving the Magic a one-point lead and the Heat a chance to win it with six ticks on the clock.
Wade got the ball, but his 20-foot fadeaway at the buzzer hit back iron, and the Heat dropped their second straight game. It's their 11th loss in their past 16 games.
