VIDEO: Blowouts are fun, just ask Big Baby and the Clippers
Blowouts aren't fun for everyone.
They're certainly not fun for the team on the wrong end, they're not fun for the fans in attendance, and they're not fun for those watching on television, forced instead to channel surf or something worse, like read a book or talk to a human.
They are, however, very fun for the team doing the walloping. Glen Davis put that on display Monday with the Los Angeles Clippers mid-rout against the poor, inexperienced, hapless Minnesota Timberwolves. Up more than 30 points early in the fourth quarter, Big Baby received a pass on a transition three-on-two and threw it down for a two-handed dunk.
The dunk was just a dunk. The reaction from the Clippers bench, on the other hand, was epic.
Davis has been used sparingly in the early parts of the season, and so this marked his first dunk of the year. Normally, a cause for celebration. Up 30-plus against a team about to fall to 4-12? Some may suggest the Clippers could have reined it in a bit, but it's a long season, and those people aren't the fun police.
