Raptors match franchise-record for margin of victory after review
The Toronto Raptors' Friday night obliteration of the Milwaukee Bucks just got even uglier.
The Raptors scored 124 points on 52 percent shooting - including 60 percent 3-point shooting - against a Bucks team that entered the game ranked No. 2 overall in defensive efficiency. The Raptors also held a franchise-record 52-point lead at one point, and a day after the team's 10th win in 12 games to start the season, they found out their final margin of victory matched a franchise record as well.
That's because the NBA announced Saturday that a John Henson field goal for the Bucks with 1:44 remaining in the fourth quarter was incorrectly ruled a 3-pointer at the time.
With the belated one-point reduction in Milwaukee's point total, Friday's final score went from 124-83 to 124-82. That 42-point victory matches a Raptors franchise record set in a 96-54 win over the Miami Heat in 2008.
