Kemba Walker: Knee Injury Not Serious
Walker said after Monday's preseason win against the Magic that he may require a few days off, but his left knee contusion isn't serious, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Analysis:
Taking Walker's words at face value put in peril an appearance in the Hornets' next contest Wednesday versus the Pistons. However, a lengthy absence isn't expected, which should result in active status before long. After two-plus exhibitions, he's averaged 12.3 points (on 48.3 percent shooting), 4.7 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and one three-pointer in 23.3 minutes. Expect steals to return to his line once he's logging his normal 35-38 minutes per night.
