And here we thought Run DMC was only a nickname for the Dallas Mavericks' core on basketball Twitter.
As it turns out, the Mavericks are well aware, and are embracing the nickname for Dirk Nowitzki, Monta Ellis, and Chandler Parsons (poor Tyson Chandler).
On Wednesday, the creative agency working on the Mavericks' promotional materials posted some teasers of the trio in Run DMC garb:

Earlier in the summer, Jason Gallagher of Mavs Outsider had this exact idea, mocking up a pretty good fake version:
