Andrei Kirilenko's Salt Lake home burglarized
The Salt Lake City, Utah, home of Brooklyn Nets forward Andrei Kirilenko was burglarized this past weekend, though nothing of immense value is believed to have been taken.
Kirilenko and his wife Masha Lopatova spend most of their time in New York, according to Lopatova, and it was actually a friend in Salt Lake who found the home burglarized. Driving by their Federal Heights neighborhood home, the friend noticed garage doors open and went inside, ultimately calling Lopatova.
"I can't say it is a pleasant feeling," Lopatova said. "It definitely is a little bit uncomfortable."
She appears to be keeping in positive spirits about the incident, however, saying "it was time for a cleanup anyway."
Police have collected fingerprints from the crime scene but are yet to interview the couple, who have not yet been back to the home.
Kirilenko is the second NBA player to have his home broken into this offseason, joining Ray Allen, whose home was invaded in mid-August.
