7 people broke into Ray Allen's house to have a look around
Ray Allen had much friendlier intruders break into his house Thursday morning than the ones who burglarized former teammate Chris Bosh's in 2013.
The Sun Sentinel is reporting that seven young adults - ages 18 to 19 - entered Allen's Coral Gables, Fla., home around 2:30 a.m. through an unlocked door because they were "curious" about the 10-time All-Star's residence.
The commotion woke up Allen's wife, Shannon. She yelled out, "What are you doing in my house?" as the group tried to make its way upstairs, said Officer Kelly Denham.
The Allen children also were sleeping inside when the strangers slipped in through an unlocked door.
"She could hear them running away," Denham said. "She basically scared them away with her yelling."
Police located the perpetrators but did not charge them.
In April 2013, Bosh had almost $500,000 worth of jewelry and cash stolen from his home while attending his birthday party at a Miami nightclub.
Allen, who remains a free agent, has yet to decide whether or not he will play another season or retire.
