In terms of on-court success, Cleveland figures to be a rosier landing spot than Indiana with its depleted roster. The Cavaliers already have two All-Stars in LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, and are rumored to be landing a third in Kevin Love later on in August.
But the issue with Cleveland is that they're over the cap, and can't offer nearly as much as the Pacers could. They also can't offer as many touches or as much playing time.
Indiana is reportedly applying for a disabled player exception in the wake of Paul George's injury, which would give them $5.3 million to play with.
