VIDEO: Jamil Wilson saves game with block in 3-OT, sends Wizards to Summer League semis

Early in the week, Las Vegas Summer League provided us with a true rarity in basketball, a double-overtime game decided under "next basket wins" rules.

But that was in the round robin, and on Saturday, the game between the Washington Wizards and San Antonio Spurs could not be decided by the law of the schoolyard. After all, the winner had a spot waiting for them in the tournament semi-finals on Sunday.

And so, as they remained tied after regulation, and then again after one overtime, the teams lined up for a second two-minute overtime. And then a third.

The Wizards took a 95-94 lead in the seventh frame but looked to have lapsed on a Spurs' inbound play, with Jeff Ayres getting a decent look at the rim. Enter Jamil Wilson, the Marquette product who isn't exactly known as a rim protector at 6-foot-7.

And with that, the Spurs' hopes of a second championship in as many months were dashed.

Instead, the Wizards will move on to face the Sacramento Kings in one semi-final, while the Charlotte Hornets and Houston Rockets square off in the other. The Wizards are likely considered the favorite as the only undefeated team in the tournament, and they also boast Vegas' leading scorer in Glen Rice Jr., who is averaging 25.2 points an outing and had a highlight of his own on Saturday.

The winners of each semi will meet up on Monday in the tournament final.
