Report: Pacers SF Evan Turner will become a free agent
Indiana Pacers small forward Evan Turner will not be extended a qualifying offer from the Pacers, USA Today Sports reports.
Analysis:
Turner never quite found his niche in Indiana after coming over from the Sixers at the deadline. He averaged 17.4 points and 6.0 rebounds in 34.9 minutes in Philadelphia, compared to just 7.1 points and 3.2 rebounds in 21.1 minutes as a member of the Pacers. Turner will become a free agent at midnight and should draw considerable interest on the open market. He's only 25 years old and has proven to be an effective scorer and defender when provided the opportunity.
