LeBron on Spurs: 'They wanted us, they got us,' 'They don't like us'

Like with the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference finals, the Miami Heat will once again face a team that was hoping to play them in the NBA Finals, when the San Antonio Spurs seek revenge for their 2012-13 finals defeat.

Just how badly did the Spurs want this rematch? Badly enough that the always-quiet, trash-talk free Tim Duncan boldly predicted that, "We'll do it this time." If it's got Tim Duncan talking, it means a great deal.

Well, like with how they vanquished the Pacers, the Heat welcome the challenge, as LeBron James admitted on Monday.

"They don't like us, they don't," James said. "I can sense it from Timmy's comments over the last couple of days. They wanted this, they wanted us and we'll be ready for the challenge."

James later added that, "We want them, too," expressing understanding as to why the Spurs would want vengeance. As for whether the Heat have an edge as the reigning champs, James made it clear that this is a whole new series.

"This is no one's championship. It isn't ours, it isn't theirs, it's two teams fighting for it."
