On Monday night, the Portland Trail Blazers finally solved the San Antonio Spurs, at least for a night, extending their second-round series to at least a fifth game and staving off elimination for a while longer.

While many see the victory as simply delaying the inevitable - no NBA team has ever come back from a 3-0 series deficit to win the series - that's no matter to Blazers center Robin Lopez. The oft-humorous Lopez sees no problem in extending the series a little while longer.

"Yeah, why not?" Lopez said after the game. "I don't have anything better to do."

That's a good way to look at it, even if the win may only kill two days of the offseason. Game 5 goes on Wednesday in San Antonio, where the Blazers were outscored by 41 over a pair of series-opening losses.

But again, Lopez, who is averaging 9.8 points, 9.1 rebounds and two blocks through 10 playoff games, isn't being kept from anything important. Just comic books, probably.
