After eking out a one-point Game 7 victory over the Toronto Raptors in their opening-round series, the Brooklyn Nets have been thoroughly outclassed by the Miami Heat through two games of the second round.
Heading into Game 3 on Saturday night at the Barclays Center, the Nets have been outscored 201-168 while Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Deron Williams have combined for just 42 points.
In what's best described as a must-win game, Nets forward Joe Johnson summed up the mentality of the teams locker room: "Desperation."
