Former NBA point guard Baron Davis appeared on Grantland podcast "The Moment with Brian Koppelman" over the weekend to discuss his relationship with Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, whom he played for from 2008 to 2011.

Davis said Sterling, who is under investigation by the league for racist remarks he allegedly made to girlfriend V. Stiviano, would often heckle him during games.

"He called me a bastard," Davis said. "He would refer to me as the devil, or crazy. He would literally cuss at me, like, 'Why are you shooting the f---ing ball, you should stop shooting the f---ing ball.'"

Davis also suggested that Sterling's actions had a trickle-down effect within the Clippers organization.

"You can blame the owner and all that, but I also think that, just the way the system worked, everybody was trying to appease him," he said. "People were trying to save their jobs and save face so they would say anything to kind of get by."
