Kevin Durant doesn't want to be asked about his matchup with Tony Allen

In his time with the Memphis Grizzlies, Tony Allen has earned the reputation as one of the NBA's best defenders.

Kevin Durant has taken notice, and frankly, he doesn't want to talk about it.

"It's not like I'm just totally getting locked down," Durant said, via ESPN. "He's making it tough, but it's not like I'm just nonexistent. I don't know what you guys have been watching. He's just making me work, like everybody else will."

Durant dropped 36 points on the Grizzlies in Game 2, so it's not like he's getting completely shut out.

Even still, it's Allen's fearlessness that has led to his success. He's perfectly willing to talk about the matchup, as he did on Thursday.

"I'm going to gamble whether it helps the team or not ... that's what I do, that's what makes me who I am today," Allen said. "If I convert, it's a pat on the back. If I don't and it hurts the team, I'll try to get it back on the next possession."

That matchup wasn't the only taboo topic in the Thunder dressing room. Via the Commercial Appeal, Russell Westbrook didn't care for one of the questions he was asked on Thursday.

He was responding to a question from one of Memphis's longest-tenured TV sports anchors, Jarvis Greer, that went like this: "Your road record is one of the best in the NBA but talk a little bit specifically about playing here in the Grindhouse against this team."

Westbrook gave Greer a bit of a quizzical look and said, ""You said the FedExForum? That's the name of the arena, right?"

To which, Greer answered in the affirmative. Then Westbrook continued: "Uh, playing at the, uh, FedExForum , it's a good arena, the fans are loud and they cheer on their team and we just gotta come in and play our game."

Don't be surprised to hear a "Grind-House!" chant every time Westbrook brings the ball up the court on Thursday.

Maybe a Game 3 win will put the Thunder players in a better mood.
