Celtics PG Rajon Rondo Will Sit Out Monday
Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo won't take the floor Monday at Chicago, CSN New England reports.
Analysis:
The Celtics have a home-and-home, back-to-back set with the Bulls on Sunday and Monday, the latter of which Rondo will take a seat in his ongoing maintenance program of one absence when such scheduling quirks arise. With another back-to-back on tap at the end of the week -- Friday against the Sixers and Saturday in Detroit -- a five-game week suddenly turns into one with just three appearances. However, his last four contests have been productive -- 10.3 points (on 42.9 percent shooting), 12.5 assists, and 5.8 rebounds in 35 minutes -- which should keep him in the majority of formats, even head-to-head.
