Report: Rose worried about Bulls rebuilding

With Derrick Rose out for the season and the Chicago Bulls struggling to a 9-13 start, there has been speculation that the Bulls may try to retool with an on-the-fly rebuild in the coming months.

Step one could be dealing Luol Deng or letting him walk in free agency this summer, and there are several other valuable pieces the Bulls could theoretically trade for future assets.

However, that's a proposition that reportedly worries Rose, according to a New York Daily News report. The report states that Rose has told confidantes that he fears the team letting players go, leaving Rose to play through a rebuild.

While Rose's stance is understandable, it's also hard to blame Chicago if they do look to turn the current core into a group that's more financially sustainable in the long-term; the organization historically doesn't like paying the luxury tax and they currently lack the flexibility to add pieces in the next few years.
