The Utah Jazz announced Monday they agreed to a multi-year contract extension with head coach Will Hardy.

The deal keeps Hardy with the Jazz through the 2030-31 season.

"I'm humbled and honored," Hardy said in a statement. "This is an incredible franchise. To be able to be committed to the next phase of our process is hard to explain. Moments like this are very surreal. I'm so excited."

Hardy has been with Utah since 2022-23 and owns an 85-161 record during his three seasons in charge.

The Jazz have been in a rebuilding phase recently and could own a top-10 pick for a third straight offseason. They selected Taylor Hendricks ninth overall in 2023 and Cody Williams at No. 10 in 2024.

They have a 14% chance of winning the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes by getting the No. 1 pick in the 2025 draft. The Jazz finished last in the NBA with a 17-65 record this season.

"We've got to continue to refine and tweak our process as our team grows," Hardy said. "No two teams are the same. We're not waiting for anybody because we know the league won't wait for us. As the team grows and changes, we'll be ready."

Hardy spent time as an assistant coach with the San Antonio Spurs and Boston Celtics before joining Utah. The 37-year-old is currently the second-youngest head coach in the NBA.
