Nuggets' Adelman claims Clippers pump in fake crowd noise

Denver Nuggets interim head coach David Adelman has some suspicions about the acoustics at the Los Angeles Clippers' new arena.

Adelman, who took over for Mike Malone earlier this month, accused the Clippers of pumping in artificial crowd noise at Intuit Dome while speaking with reporters Wednesday.

"They have the crowd towards our bench. It's like a high school crowd, which is actually really cool," Adelman said, via DNVR Nuggets. "And the other thing is they pump sound in the place. That place is so loud ... so that building, it's very loud whether the crowd is cheering or not."

Adelman added that the arena is "an amazing place" and he'd love to see a concert there.

The Clippers moved into Intuit Dome for the start of the 2024-25 NBA season after previously sharing Crypto.com Arena with the Los Angeles Lakers. The arena cost $2 billion to build and includes several state-of-the art features, including a section of 51 uninterrupted rows of seats known as The Wall.

The Nuggets and Clippers will face off in Game 3 of their first-round playoff series Thursday night at Intuit Dome after playing the first two matchups in Denver. The series is tied at 1-1.
