Spurs' Ayres to Heat: 'Take a chill pill'
Jeff Ayres is not happy with how the Miami Heat played Saturday's preseason game against his San Antonio Spurs.
Perhaps he was feeling residual anger from the Eastern Conference Finals (when Ayres played for the Indiana Pacers and got tossed for a shoving match with Norris Cole at the end of the series). Maybe it was frustration with a 25-point LeBron James-less preseason blowout. Or, who knows, the Heat could have actually been targeting a third-string power forward.
Whatever the cause, Ayres had nothing nice to say about the defending champions afterwards.
"That's what it felt like, people were trying to take out my knees and stuff," Ayres said. "I was like, it's preseason take a chill pill."
Seriously, don't have a cow, man.
With all this crying the blues, it's a surprise he didn't change his name from Pendergraph to Pendergrass.
